How we handle personal information on this website, under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated 6 October 2026.
Who we are
RC Technologies ("we", "us"), registration number 2023/107575/07, of Block A, Lifestyle Garden Office Park, Randpark Ridge, Gauteng, 2169, is the responsible party for personal information collected through www.rctech.co.za. What we collect
- When you send the enquiry form: your name, work email address, company, the product you're interested in, and anything you write in the message.
- When you visit any page: our web server records standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
Why we use it
We use your enquiry to reply to you, arrange a demonstration and, if you ask, prepare a quote. We use technical information to keep the website running and secure. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Our lawful basis
You give us your enquiry details voluntarily when you send the form, and we use them only to respond to it. We process technical information because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers who host our server and our email for us. They process the information on our behalf and may not use it for anything else. We don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
The form doesn't store your enquiry on the website: it is emailed to us. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any business that follows, and delete them when they are no longer needed. Our web server's logs are kept for a limited period for security.
Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies for tracking or advertising, which is why there is no cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent first.
How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need them to reply to you.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us:
- whether we hold personal information about you, and for a copy of it;
- to correct or delete it;
- to stop using it, or object to how we use it.
